On social media, Tamar Braxton, 48, walked her followers through a wave of emotions — starting with gratitude for simply waking up, before recounting a terrifying experience that she says changed the way she looks at life.

She first reposted a quote on Instagram Story that read, "Thank you God for waking me up today."

Later, Braxton opened up about her condition, "I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak. I almost died Sunday. I Was [sic] found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury. As the days go by the worse it is."

She detailed the extent of her injuries, "I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility 💔 the way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins.. pray for me for real 💔💔💔💔 I don't even know what happened to me 💔💔."

After sharing her account, Braxton posted a highlighted passage from the bible with the caption, "Be A Proverbs 31 Woman ❤️😍💯."
