A Promising Career

From a very young age, Campuzano had a passion for modeling. As the daughter of professional opera singers, her artistic training began in childhood with the choirs of the Opera of Bellas Artes. At 13, she chose to pursue modeling, and her career quickly took off.

Eventually, she became the face of the Italian brand La Perla, worked with designers like Thierry Mugler, and appeared on the cover of the prestigious Vogue magazine in its Spanish and Mexican editions.

Her presence made her a runway icon and led to one of her most famous phrases: "magical, ethereal, and unattainable." Beyond her modeling career, she has taken on roles as a DJ, public speaker, and advocate for female empowerment. In past interviews, she has said that her personal experiences give her a unique perspective to support others facing difficult times.

A Difficult Time

Sadly, her career was interrupted by what she described as a "dark parenthesis." She explained that emotional struggles, including betrayals and difficult relationships, led her into an unhealthy lifestyle that had devastating effects on both her health and public image.

During this period, Campuzano felt isolated and broken, and for a time, even became estranged from her daughters.

One of the most visible consequences of that period was the deterioration of her face. The model said she suffered from a disease called leptospirosis, which, combined with the harmful habits she had at the time, severely damaged her nose. "I had a practically perfect nose, suited to the structure of my face, but they emptied everything inside, and I had nothing left," she said.

In an attempt to correct the damage, she underwent multiple cosmetic procedures, some of which failed and put her life at risk. "I lost everything," she continued. Looking in the mirror filled her with sadness, as she saw only what she described as her afflictions. Over time, however, she managed to regain her self-confidence.

Doctors Gave Her No Hope

In 2019, the model appeared on the show "Botched," which is known for addressing complex surgical cases, hoping that doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif could help her. However, the specialists declined to take her case, considering her nose too complicated to repair.

Refusing to give up, Campuzano kept searching for medical options until she met surgeon José Achar Zavalza. Under his care, she underwent several procedures aimed at restoring the natural appearance of her face.

"I'm so grateful to Dr. José Achar Zavalza because he gave me back what I love most, which is my work and my public life," she said in an interview with "Hoy Día (Today)."

During a follow-up consultation, Campuzano said, "I am no longer just a nose." Although an additional procedure was still required, the actress expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far.

Her trust in Dr. Zavalza has been a key part of the process, which she described as a new opportunity to rebuild herself inside and out.

Her Most Recent Surgery and New Face

In an August 13, 2025, Instagram post, Campuzano celebrated the results of her most recent procedure performed by Dr. Raúl Granados Martínez. "It has been a complete success," she said.

She publicly thanked the specialist in microvascular microsurgery and the staff at Diomed Hospital, emphasizing that there were "no after-effects of any kind" following the procedure. Additionally, the model said that once she has recovered further, she will share a more personal video.

Later that same day, she shared a photo of herself smiling. She looks radiant, facing both the camera and life with confidence.
